Music Behind Black Out

This week I wrote an essay for largeheartedboy.com about the music I was listening to when I wrote BLACK OUT.  Music plays a large part in my process and that was especially true for this novel.

From LargeheartedBoy.com:

In the Book Notes series, authors create and discuss a music playlist that is in some way relevant to their recently published books.

A couple of years ago I was sent a review copy of Lisa Unger’s debut novel, Beautiful Lies, and found it dark, edgy and wonderful, only to be just as impressed with its sequel, Sliver of Truth.

Unger’s third novel, Black Out, is the rare book I can recommend to both literary fiction and thriller readers, a tightly woven tale that is as much at home in the den or the front porch as it is on the beach.

BLACK OUT is a FABULOUS read. The suspense is palatable and builds with the turn of every page.

One of my new FAVORITE books!!!!
