FRAGILE has been optioned for film by TNT!
TNT has optioned FRAGILE to be part of its new Mystery Movie Night! On November 29th, Scott Turow’s Innocent will launch a series of contemporary crime dramas that will include Lisa Gardner’s Hide, Sandra Brown’s Ricochet, Richard North Patterson’s Silent Witness, April Smith’s Good Morning, Killer, and Mary & Carol Higgins Clark Deck the Halls.
Naturally, I’m thrilled that FRAGILE has been selected for what promises to be a series of fantastic crime fiction films. TNT is a home for quality television (including the brilliant Tess Gerritsen’s “Rizzoli and Isles”). And the lineup of actors for the first few movies is stellar, including Bill Pullman, Marcia Gay Harden, Al Molina, and Anne Heche. I can’t wait to keep you posted as things shape up for FRAGILE. But in the meantime, I’m over the moon that it has been optioned as part of this exciting television event.
I know you’ll want to tune in on November 29th for Scott Turow’s Innocent. I personally can’t wait! I’ll be posting my thoughts on each of the movies as they air over the next few weeks. And feel free to chime in with your thoughts, too, on my Facebook page.
But let’s start with this: Who would you like to see in the movie version of FRAGILE?
Congrats to you Lisa!
I don’t watch a lot of television, however I’ll definitely make an exception to watch Fragile.
I recently discovered your work, and have been a big fan ever since. I’ve quickly devoured all your books, and am eagerly awaiting more.
Let’s see… I think Julianne Moore, Sela Ward, or Diane Lane would make a great Maggie. I could see Russell Crow, Sean Bean, or Jeff Bridges as Jones. If I think of any more, for the other characters I’ll comment on your Facebook page.
Congrats!
Congratulations, Lisa!! Movie rights are always exciting! Best of luck to you!
Congratulations Lisa! I began reading your books a few years back, and can’t get enough of everything you write. Everytime I finish one I feel disappointed that it’s over. I cannot wait to watch Fragile on tv and I agree that Diane Lane would make a wonderful Maggie; beautiful and motherly, she is a perfect fit. Thanks for all the books that I haven’t been able to put down, I can’t wait for the ones yet to come.
Jennifer
ok… this comment has been hard to complete, trying to sing with Don Williams “Amanda”… sighhh…
I can’t wait for the TV movie.. I just finished the book. I admit I was having trouble keeping up with who was who and who did what, but I was only reading a bit at a time. At a Dr appt .. too early!! I had the chance to read the last 1/4th of the book while waiting… it was great!!! I loved the way it weaved in and out and how the characters dealt with what they had too….. and the love that held them together!!!!
Thanks Lisa!!!! Enjoy the day!!!
Aidan Quinn as Jones!!!
